“Dear young people, let yourselves be taken over by the light of Christ, and spread that light wherever you are.” - Saint John Paul II
Young people bring life wherever they go. That is why I feel so blessed to be able to work with the teens at Lake Country Life Teen.
My journey into Youth Ministry started with my family. I was raised in a family that actively practiced the Faith. They made sure I got the best Sacrament preparation and the best Catholic Education, but it didn’t end there. Faith was always more than a subject to my family and I was strongly encouraged as a teen to attend Youth Ministry events. By participating in these events I was taught how to have a relationship with Jesus Christ and how much God loved me.
This sparked a passion for ministry that has brought me to where I am today. I took a year after high school to serve with an organization called NET Ministries and worked with seven other young adults in a parish in Minnesota. From there I went on to receive a Bachelor’s Degree in Theology and Catechetics with a focus in Youth Ministry from Franciscan University. Soon after, I married the love of my life, Maryellen, and we live with our daughter (Tess) and dog (Claddagh) in Hartland.
Before coming to Lake Country Life Teen I worked as the Director of Youth Ministry at another parish in Milwaukee. What brought me to this position is how Life Teen ministry seeks to lead teens closer to Christ and form young Disciples. I am excited to be apart of this ministry that sparks a teens love for Christ. God is about a great work in this community and I am honored to be a part of it.
