First serve is a ministry to try one of our ministries without the worry of needing of committing. You will shadow one of our amazing Core Team members who will help you get a taste of our ministries, while being their to guide you and answer questions you may have. At the end of each first serve experience, you will have the opportunity to sit down with Andrew, Director of Student Ministries, and your guide to discuss your experience and if and how you can get more involved in that ministry.
Since our ministry primarily works with minors all volunteers for our ministries MUST complete the Safeguarding All of God's Family Safe Environment Training before attending any event. This entails attending a class, reading the Code of Ethical Standards, and consenting to a background check. If you would like to experience our ministries, please complete Safe Environment Training. This course is held monthly at St. Charles on the fourth Monday of the month. You can sign-up for a class here.
To arrange for a first serve opportunity, please contact our office Monday-Friday and we will find a day for you to join us, match you with one of our amazing Core Team members for you to shadow and ask questions, and schedule a follow-up meeting. Please contact us if you have any questions or concerns!
