Fr. Patrick Behling Spiritual Advisor
Fr. Patrick J. Behling has been associate pastor of St. Charles Parish in Hartland since June 2016. In January 2018, he also became associate pastor of St. Teresa of Calcutta Parish in North Lake. Prior to his ordination as a priest, he spent two years at St. Charles as a seminarian-intern. He assists the pastor in providing for the sacramental and pastoral needs of both parishes, especially through the celebration of Mass, the hearing of confessions, and the anointing of the sick. He teaches religion in the grade school, serves as chaplain to the Life Teen high school ministry and the Confirmation preparation process, and provides support to the small-group movement and the RCIA program. He also leads occasional catechetical programs for adults.
Fr. Behling worked as a U.S. Senate page and later as a member of the Senate floor staff before entering the seminary. In addition to his love for Christ and His Church, Fr. Behling is an avid reader, a lapsed cellist, an irrepressible Brewers fan, and a spectacularly bad volleyball player. He's learning the art of bonsai, and he'll be happy to talk your ear off about the tree he's training.
Fr. Behling's greatest desire is to be a priest and to help those around him come to know, love, and serve Jesus Christ. Please pray for him, for the other seminarians of the Archdiocese of Milwaukee, and for an increase in vocations to the priesthood and consecrated religious life, especially among the teens of St. Charles.
