Transitioning from High School to College Life can be difficult. Living away from home, making new friends, and being challenged with what you believe can make it difficult to practice your faith.
We are here to help by providing support to college students settling into their new home while helping them get connected to their local faith community through our college ambassadors ministry (see students tab), offering select ministries like retreats and mission trips, and allowing parents to send care packages to their students away at school. Check out the "Students" and "Parents" tab for ways to get involved.
Most major universities have a Catholic community on campus or in the near off-campus area that you can join to make new friends and to go to Mass. Most Catholic Universities have a campus or university ministry department. At many non-Catholic universities these are called the Newman Center.
Newman Centers are residences and Catholic ministry centers at non-Catholic universities throughout the world. These centers provide pastoral services and ministries to their Catholic communities, in particular to the Roman Catholic student population within universities throughout the world.
Newman Centers were named in honor of Cardinal John Henry Newman and were inspired by Newman's writings.

College Ambassadors are upperclassman from St. Charles who are living their faith and desire to help new students from St. Charles at college/university get connected to the resources on their campus, be someone to join at Mass, and a resource of what's going on back at St. Charles for college students (like retreats and mission trips).
We recently started sending out small packages and cards to our students away at college, in the military, or to young adults seeking direction in life. To get on our mailing list, please click the link below and fill-out our online form.
